EBG Dealers Facility

A purpose-built automotive complex where retail, service, and corporate functions unite under one roof

The EBG Dealers Facility is a 1 basement + Ground + 6 storey automotive complex that combines three operationally distinct functions — vehicle showroom, professional maintenance workshop, and corporate office tower — within a single, architecturally coherent building. For HGC, it represents a refined iteration of the mixed-use automotive typology, building on the firm's experience with similar programmes to deliver a facility that works equally well as a retail destination, a technical service centre, and a professional workplace.

The Showroom Experience

The ground and first floors are dedicated to vehicle display and customer reception. The showroom is conceived as a retail environment rather than simply a garage — full-height glazing to the street elevation maximises visibility of the vehicle inventory, while the interior finishes, lighting design, and spatial proportions are calibrated to create a premium customer experience. Ceiling heights in the showroom zone reach 5.0 metres, giving displayed vehicles room to breathe and ensuring the space never feels cramped regardless of how it is configured for different vehicle ranges or promotional events.

The customer journey through the facility was considered carefully. A dedicated customer handover bay — separated from the workshop entrance — ensures that clients collecting serviced vehicles experience a calm, professional environment rather than navigating through a working workshop. A waiting lounge with natural light and views over the street is positioned adjacent to the service reception, reducing perceived wait times and improving customer satisfaction.

Workshop & Technical Facilities

The maintenance workshop occupies a separate volume at the rear of the site, accessed independently by vehicles and workshop staff. The structural slab in this zone was designed to accommodate the point loads of vehicle hoists, and the drainage strategy addresses both the routine discharge from washing and servicing operations and the containment requirements for fuel and oil. Ventilation was designed to maintain safe air quality under full occupancy of the service bays, with extraction rates calculated for the worst-case scenario of multiple engines running simultaneously.

A parts storage and dispatch area connects the workshop to the building's vertical circulation, allowing parts to move efficiently between the basement store, ground-level reception, and the workshop floor without disrupting customer-facing spaces. This logistics coordination — invisible to the customer but critical to the workshop's operational efficiency — was resolved in close consultation with EBG's operations team during the design process.

Office Tower

The upper floors of the complex contain EBG's corporate offices, management suites, meeting rooms, and staff facilities. The transition from the commercial energy of the showroom to the quieter working environment of the offices is resolved through a dedicated lift lobby and reception at the office entrance level, giving the corporate functions a distinct address within the building while remaining physically connected to the retail and service operations below.
